Cooperative boards have the same legal duties as directors of for-profit companies.  Cooperative board members are obliged to comply with general law and legislative requirements. 

It is a fundamental aspect of good governance that all board members understand that their role on the board is first and foremost to act in the interests of the cooperative as a whole.

As an indication of transparency, integrity and good governance SouthEast publishes the Public Records of every Board Meeting.

However, the Board Meeting Public Records do not disclose:

The positions adopted by specific directors in discussions at board meetings.Any confidential information related to the interests of individuals, groups or organisation.Commercial sensitive information.
